Before BrightWork, Police Credit Union’s approach to project management and the implementation of change was inconsistent.

Police Credit Union struggled with their previous project management tool, which was hard to use and resulted in poor user adoption, ultimately making it ineffective.

Feedback from staff and constant frustration from the Senior Leadership team, who lacked the real-time visibility needed to track project performance and identify issues, were the catalyst for change.

Having started with the free SharePoint Project Management Template, deployment of the full BrightWork solution began in late 2018. The ease of use, ability to customize the template, and the ability to utilize our current SharePoint environment made the BrightWork solution appealing to Police Credit Union.

For Police Credit Union, the hardest part of the deployment process was determining how to best utilize and integrate the BrightWork project management tool into a broader Change Management Framework. However, once this had been defined, the process of customizing and implementing the tool was simple. Police Credit Union received an excellent level of support from the BrightWork team.

Change Management Framework

BrightWork was rolled out to all Project Managers across the organization with one Standard Template used to manage projects, and a Work Tracker template customized to track meeting action items. They have since customized and implemented a second Work Tracker, used to track policy reviews.

With BrightWork, Police Credit Union now have a consistent framework to plan and manage projects. They have real time visibility into the status and health of every project, and they can view assigned tasks across projects and teams to track workload and identify resource gaps.

The ability to deliver flexible reporting, create real-time dashboards, and have all project information centralized, has resulted in projects being well managed, and are delivered on time and on budget.
