Friday Funny – T’was the Night Before Christmas!

December 19, 2014 by

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the office

Not a manager was stirring, the projects were flawless

The files were all stored in the cabinets with care,

A workload now finished, no more left to share

The employees were nestled all snug in their beds,

While nightmares of last night’s office party remained in their heads

And the boss in his ‘kerchief, and his wife in her cap

Had just settled their brains for their long winters nap

When out on their lawn there arose such a clatter,

The boss sprang from his bed to see what was the matter

Away to the window he flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below

When what to his wondering eyes should appear

But a crying project manager, and eight disgruntled reindeer

‘’I was hitch hiking home from the party last night,

And who did I see, but St. Nicholas in flight,

He gave me a ride, down the street to my house,

When out of nowhere, there jumped a wild mouse’’

Now for those who don’t know, you might be surprised,

St Nick has a terrifying fear of wild mice,

He jumped from his sleigh and screamed like a girl,

And the project manager took over..’’Sure I’ll give this a whirl’’

‘’And what happened next?’’ His boss then did ask

‘’Well I’m a project manager, capable of this task

I grabbed a hold of the reigns, and took to the skies

It’s actually quite easy and boy, how it flies!’’

He delivered the presents, all over the world

To the big and the small, the boys and the girls

His boss then did say ‘’You deserve a big raise!’’

As the project manager stood there, being showered with praise

Christmas was saved, all thanks to this man

It was due to his training, and his ability to plan

Project management comes in handy, in all walks of life

Then off he did go, to his kids and his wife.

Merry Christmas to you and yours from all of us here at BrightWork!
