I’d recommend BrightWork because it automates processes that are historically very time consuming to create. When I started using BrightWork at XVT, I rang my former manager and said ‘You have to get this! Remember all those reports we spent weeks building and refining? BrightWork does it automatically.’ We are very happy with BrightWork.Amy Laird
XVT Use BrightWork to Successfully Deliver IT Services to Clients
Prior to deploying BrightWork, XVT used Outlook, Excel and Word-based templates for their various project management processes. As a result, their approach was inconsistent. They also experienced a loss of knowledge with staff turnover because there was no centralized hub to maintain that information.
Furthermore, while XVT use Agile as their in-house project management approach, most of their customers follow a Waterfall methodology, and it was difficult to find a software solution that suited both of those camps.
XVT now use BrightWork for both internal project and task tracking, as well as for external client projects. Each client project has its own project site in BrightWork, where XVT Project Managers track tasks, issues, risks, change requests and documentation. Clients can access the project site directly to see real-time updates at any time. A weekly summary report is also created for the wider stakeholder group, some of whom may not be interested in all the details of the project.
Some of the major benefits for XVT include: having a single source of templates and documentation; the visibility created by the real time snapshot reports; and the customizable User Interface. Because it is so simple to configure, they now have a simplified environment. This means that clients, who might not have used a project management system before, are now able to go in and do what they need to do without additional training.
