Group Health Cooperative Deploys Economical, Scalable Solution for Project Management
The Enterprise PMO at Group Health was about to undertake one of its most complex projects in the history of the company. They needed a quick method to structure project information while recognizing there were other projects in the EPMO portfolio.
Standardization of project management was not the norm in the organization, as project work was managed in isolated groups. So the firm evaluated several high end project and portfolio management tools and determined that Group Health needed to focus on project management process and not technology. The PMO Director asked the group to use “existing tools” to manage the portfolio.
BrightWork gave Group Health a fast start to implement a strategy for managing different types of single projects under one or more project offices. They were able to apply a pragmatic approach for new project requests and portfolio management and ensure critical non-project work was managed and under control.
- A simple solution built on SharePoint, which was already deployed to users
- Project management templates that they could tailor to their level of project management maturity
- Roll-up dashboard reporting to sees status, issues, and milestones across multiple project teams or projects
- Standardized look and feel for all project sites.
