The BrightWork templates for portfolio management provide visibility into the health of multiple projects of different type and complexity. This saves senior executives and program managers time, and enables them to make real time decisions that improve the organization’s bottom line.
As with the SharePoint project management templates, each template delivers a certain amount of management and can be customized to suit local needs and practices.

The Issue Office template is for groups that just want to troubleshoot the issues when managing across projects (i.e. management by exception).
This template crawls through project sites and brings back Project Summaries and Issues to a central dashboard.
The Projects Tracker in the Project Office template offers the lightest level of project management available in BrightWork. The Projects Tracker enables the Project Manager to track just the high-level details of certain projects, without having to create a full site for these projects.
The Project Office template is the most popular cross-project template available with BrightWork. It includes multiple collections of reporting dashboards (Projects, My Work, Work, Issues and Resourcing) that aggregate and roll up data from all the projects located under it in the hierarchy.
The Project Office template includes the optional Projects Tracker that enables Project Managers to manage the high-level details of certain projects. Many customers will start to manage a project in the Projects Tracker, and then move the project to a full site where it will continue to be reported on in the Project Office, but with the extra detail in the new site, such as task and risks.
The Project Office Portfolio is similar to the Project Office in that it includes multiple collections of reporting dashboards (Projects, My Work, Work, Issues and Resourcing) that aggregate and roll up data from multiple projects across the organization.
Instead of the bottom up reporting model available in the Project Office, with the Project Office Portfolio, you can select any project site or project office to report on, as long as you have access to it.
The Program Management Office (PMO) template includes all the reporting and aggregating power of the Project Office template but also facilitates the management of items specific to the PMO itself, such as tasks, issues and risks.
This template was designed for the quick establishment of a PMO where the team wants a process to manage the PMO as well as roll-up selected items from multiple projects. This template includes multiple collections of reporting dashboards (Projects, My Work, Work, Issues and Resourcing) that aggregate and roll up data from all the projects located beneath it in the hierarchy.
