Manage Agile Software Development projects with SharePoint and MSF (v4) for Agile Software Development
For years most organizations have not had a process or methodology for building software. For a period in the 1980's and early 1990's there was a major push on the Waterfall methodologies and quality process improvement models (for example, CMM, ISO9001, SPICE etc.). While these approaches moved in the right direction they did not appear to have the flexibility that is really needed on so many software projects. Advances like the .NET framework have made it very easy to build software - but not always the right software! A more flexible, iterative and agile approach to building software was needed.
BrightWork Agile Software Manager is a SharePoint template that enables organizations and teams to efficiently manage agile software projects and is also the first SharePoint template based on an agile project management model – Microsoft Solutions Framework for Agile Software Development.
Windows SharePoint Services is fast becoming a de facto standard for collaboration: MSF for Agile Software Development has all the potential to become a de facto standard for delivering agile software projects and is freely available from Microsoft.
BrightWork was the first company, licensed by Microsoft, to use the MSF model to provide SharePoint templates to help manage projects.
This pre-built template includes support for the most common agile process / deliverables (e.g. builds, bugs, etc.) and a host of deliverables for the various project iterations (personas, scenarios etc).
