BrightWork adds Enterprise Reporting and Standards-based Project Management Solutions to the Microsoft SharePoint 2007 platform
Bellevue, Washington - May 15th 2006: BrightWork Inc., the leading global provider of standards-based solutions for managing work and projects on the Microsoft SharePoint platform today announced that its two flagship products will be available on the Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 platform. BrightWork will deliver BrightWork Reporter and BrightWork Solutions on both Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. BrightWork Reporter is a highly configurable SharePoint Web Part reporting engine that enables rollup reporting across multiple Microsoft SharePoint fields, lists, sites and servers. BrightWork Solutions are a standards-based set of solutions for managing work and projects built specifically for the SharePoint platform.
“With the advances in the next generation of Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies (e.g., easy-to-use electronic forms and out-of-the-box customizable workflow) our customers and partners will use SharePoint to develop more applications to manage business processes and the work of dispersed teams. The resulting applications will be amazingly rich with information that will need to get reported in a variety of flexible ways. This makes a proven and customizable product like BrightWork Reporter an important piece of the solutions jigsaw.”
Eamonn McGuinness, CEO, BrightWork.
Because of its strategic relationship with Microsoft, BrightWork got very early access to the beta version of SharePoint and also a license to use the MSF (the Microsoft Solutions Framework), which facilitated BrightWork in developing their standards-based solutions on the SharePoint 2007 platform.
“BrightWork Reporter provides a unique set of enterprise reporting capabilities across lists, sites and servers for customers using SharePoint Server 2007. With the advances in SharePoint Server 2007 we see more and more customers using SharePoint to manage projects, and a product like BrightWork Solutions that is rich in project management functionality and based on the Microsoft Solutions Framework will provide significant business value to customers.”
Kurt DelBene, corporate vice president, Microsoft Office Server Group
