Since 1995, BrightWork has been perfecting collaborative project management on top of the world’s leading collaborative environments. BrightWork started developing on Microsoft SharePoint in 1999 before its initial release in 2001, making it one of the original SharePoint ISVs. BrightWork maintains a close relationship with Microsoft, with both Silver Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and Project and Portfolio Management Partnership competencies. BrightWork was also an Office System 2010 Launch Partner, and is a member of several Microsoft partner and SharePoint developer councils.
The BrightWork team has been involved in the project and process management industry for the past 20 years. BrightWork founder and CEO, Eamonn McGuinness, has been involved in various international process and project management standards and was a TickIT/ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and a Software CMM (Capability Maturity Model) Lead Assessor. At BrightWork he has worked with organizations of various sizes assisting with the introduction of work and project management practices and project offices. Other management team members bring project management experience particularly in the area of process driven project management.
Many of the organizations we serve managed their projects on various lists contained in email, Excel and on white boards. These organizations were not ready for large, complex and expensive project management systems.
The level of project management process that an organization requires and can adopt depends on the organization itself and the projects and work being managed. The 'walk the line' popup diagram on the right hand side depicts the varied levels of work and project management needed in today's organizations and the corresponding SharePoint based-solutions offered by BrightWork and Microsoft. Using the SharePoint platform, we at BrightWork aim to serve the middle ground of the spectrum filling the gap between Email and Excel on the left hand side and high end Enterprise Project Management systems on the right hand side.
The BrightWork vision is to deliver a new paradigm for managing work and projects. Unlike ad hoc tools such as email or Excel or traditional project and portfolio management tools, our products provide collaborative, flexible, and insightful solutions that can get all roles (team members, project managers, senior managers, and executives) involved in actively managing work, projects, and processes - leading to significantly improved execution and ultimately better returns on your business strategies.
